Our son started attending Bible College in Virginia Beach in January of 2010. As we visited him, God opened our eyes to the vast amount of bikers in the Tidewater area. God has called us to start Seven Cities FBC to reach the lost and un-churched bikers in the seven cities area, just as He is reaching many bikers internationally through Freedom Biker Church.
In 1999 my wife and I bought our first Harley Davidson Motorcycle. We quickly joined the Christian Motorcycle Association to use our motorcycle as an outreach tool for Him. My walk became stronger and I became more serious about my spiritual growth. God was giving me a passion and a burden for the biker community which I didn’t understand at the time, until friends of ours said they were going to start a “biker church”. Immediately I knew this was that for which God had been preparing me.
Being a part of Freedom Biker Church from the very beginning has been one of the most rewarding and challenging experiences of my life. God has used this experience to grow me in ways I would have never imagined. I have been greatly blessed to have a wife that is 100% in support of the ministry to which I have been called. She has been the secretary for FBC from the very beginning, setting up data bases, tracking all information on the attendees, and since August of 2007 has been doing the bookkeeping for the FBC Home Office. My wife and I have truly enjoyed serving God for the past five years at the Home Office of FBC.
We have experienced God working in amazing ways at the Freedom Biker Church Home Office; we believe He will continue to astound us with His passion for this unreached people group. In the past five years in the home office alone we have witnessed over 200 genuine conversions to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, baptizing over 300 people in a galvanized horse trough. We’ve had to replace the trough due to excessive use, praise God! In the first quarter of 2011 we have had 32 baptisms and 22 salvations. This God movement is evident in all FBC church plants. Thus far we have planted 12 churches, including one in Vancouver B.C., and the Canadian Baptist Convention has plans to plant 10 more FBC churches in Canada. Weekly we are contacted by potential church planters around the world.
